REPLACING PELINI, LSU’S PEVETO READY TO GO

When Bo Pelini was named the new head coach at Arkansas, two things happened:

1)  LSU lost a well-respected coach.

2)  The SEC lost a man whose name reminded me of a pasta.  “I’ll have some ziti and a little bopelini on the side.”

Bradley Dale Peveto, along with Doug Mallory, his co-defensive coordinator, are now ready to step in and fill the void left by Pelini.

The two men still call Pelini in Nebraska to talk about the system he put in place in Baton Rouge.  It’s a system that Peveto says will not change.

“It’s a great system, especially when you look at where that system comes from.  Bo’s got a pro background.  He’s been around Monte Kiffin and Pete Carroll and the Stoops brothers.  Why fix something that ain’t broke?“
