Here’s the Tuscaloosa side of Iron Bowl news today:

The Tide’s nine-man senior class has already earned a spot in Alabama football lore.  “Regardless of what happens in the future, this senior class is going to be, in my mind, the group that sort of turned it around because they bought in,” Nick Saban said.  “The believed in it.  They changed their ways. They affected other people to do that as well.”

Former Tide quarterback Walter Lewis has some words of advice for John Parker Wilson, who’ll be starting his final Iron Bowl on Saturday.  “You’re going to remember this game for the rest of your life.”  Lewis lost his final start against the Tigers and is still pained by it.  “That game tore me to pieces.”

Wilson was expected to take on a much larger role in the Bama offense this year with the arrival of offensive coordinator Jim McElwain.  But the Alabama offense has become a brute, ground attack instead.
