AUBURN FOOTBALL NEWS – 11/19/08

Here’s the news from Auburn, where the Tigers are also facing an open date on their schedule:
Tommy Tuberville says he’ll use the bye week to work on his team, not prep for Alabama. “We’re going to go back to fundamentals and try to have shorter, crisper practices.”
The Tigers will continue to rotate their running backs.
More bad news on the injury front for Auburn. Tight end Tommy Trott is done for the season with a torn ACL. “He’s played very well for us and is one of the leaders of our offense,” said Tuberville.
The injury to Trott, and others, may force Tuberville (or whoever is coaching Auburn next year) to push back the start of spring practice. Yes, the AU team is that banged up. Another reason, if you ask me, why Tuberville should return to The Plains next year IF he wants to.
