Did Carolina’s Players-Only Meeting Work?

South Carolina’s team held a players-only meeting right after the regular season ended… with the goal of firing themselves back up after a dismal end to their regular season.

After two weeks off they kicked off bowl practice this weekend and the team seemed to be re-energized. When asked if that players-only meeting might have done the trick, Steve Spurrier responded:

“How we play (against Iowa in the Outback Bowl) will determine whether the meetings were any good or not. Hopefully, we can coach a little big better here between now and the bowl game, and really represent the University of South Carolina in a positive way.”
