One year ago today: The basketball Vols were No. 3 in the country, John Calipari was, surprise, acting ugly, Kentucky was beating us 72-66, and fans were wondering whether the copy “who caught up” to Daryl Vereen to arrest him for public intoxication, had any eligibility left.

Two years ago today: Georgia Sports Blog was rubbing sand in wounds, Florida was atop the SBN College Basketball Top 25, and folks, including Chris Lofton and Peyton Manning, were going places.

Three years ago today: Um . . . slacking off.
