ESPNU Will Be Seen In Comcast Homes

ESPN just spent millions upon millions upon millions of dollars to land the rights to broadcast SEC football and basketball games.

In doing so, they guaranteed themselves easier negotiations with Comcast and DirecTV for their ESPNU network.

Comcast had not previously carried the channel at all, but that will change this fall thanks to a new agreement that was announced yesterday.

The SEC’s new contract with ESPN calls for the network to show at least 20 football games on ESPN and/or ESPN2 this fall.

Another 13 games are also going to be carried on ESPNU.

Now, Comcast subscribers will be able to see those 13 games.  DirecTV has already carried the network and will continue to do so in the future.
