More On Wall’s Choice Of Kentucky

It’s still not official, but more folks are jumping on the “John Wall has committed to Kentucky” bandwagon.

ESPN’s Andy Katz reports that Wall has already told John Calipari that he will sign with the Wildcats.

He is the #1 point guard on ESPNU’s Top 100 list, but he’s the overal #1 player in America on several recruiting boards.

FoxSports.com believes it’s a done deal.  Ditto SI.com.



With Wall in the UK barn, there are still several questions swirling about Lexington:

Will Jodie Meeks return?

Should Kentucky be considered a Top 5 team even if Meeks doesn’t return?

Are the Cats a potential #1 team if Meeks does come back?

Where does Calipari’s first recruiting class in Lexington rank?  Does it compare to the Fab Five at Michigan 20 years ago?

How long will some of these players be in the Bluegrass State?  Calipari had no problems replacing one-and-doners while at Memphis, but he could lose a large chunk of this squad in next year’s NBA draft.
