Steve Spurrier’s first recruiting class in Columbia included 28 players.  Today, only 9 remain.

This notes column confirms that defensive tackle Ladi Ajiboye will be suspended for Carolina’s first three games due to a marijuana arrest last winter.

That suspension will test USC’s depth on the defensive line against NC State, Georgia and Florida Atlantic.

Linebacker Eric Norwood is on the watch list for the Chuck Bednarik Award.
