Tennessee needs an influx of talent to improve on last year’s 5-7 mark.  That’s why The Knoxville News Sentinel’s John Adams paid close attention to the Vols’ freshmen at yesterday’s practice.

Eric Berry says a pair of UT freshmen defensive backs are more ready to play this year than he was in his freshman year.  The pressure’s on, Janzen Jackson and Darren Myles Jr.

Lane Kiffin doesn’t sound like he’s too impressed with former freshman All-American tight end (at Florida State) Brandon Warren.  “It’s always something with Brandon.  We need to figure out a way with Brandon to make it through a practice.”

Former Vol coach Johnny Majors likes the way Kiffin’s staff runs practices.  Then again, Majors would like Attila The Hun if he replaced Phillip Fulmer.
