Auburn Headlines – 9/28/09

1.  Gene Chizik burned the redshirts of a pair of lineman as the Tigers head into the meat of their schedule.

2.  AU will face Tennessee, Arkansas, Kentucky, LSU and Ole Miss before the end of the month.  Chizik wants his team to stop playing “sloppy football” as it enters that stretch.

3.  “I’m never displeased with a win,” Chizik said.  “I just wish that we could have played with more focus.”

4.  This notes column points out that Auburn is now third in the nation in total offense and scoring offense.

5.  Gabe McKenzie played both tight end and defensive end in Auburn’s win over Ball State.

6.  Mario Fannin could be the answer in the wildcat formation if Kodi Burns can’t go on Saturday.

7.  There’s going to be some shuffling on Auburn’s thin offensive line following the indefinite suspension of starting right guard Byron Isom.
