Defensive Tackle Enjoys First College Game

Defensive tackle Marcus Thornton from Stephenson High School in Stone Mountain, Ga., had never been to a college football game until earlier this month.
Thornton attended Georgia’s game against South Carolina on Sept. 12 and then Auburn’s game against West Virginia last Saturday.
As you can guess, Thornton enjoyed the experience.
“It was great,” Thornton told the Atlanta Journal Constitution. “It was something I never expected.”
Both of Thornton’s trips were unofficial visits. Thornton, who plans to graduate early and enroll in college in January, said he’ll likely return to Georgia and Auburn for official visits this fall.
