1. When a team is ranked highly based on “benefit of the doubt” type logic, there’s usually a huge backlash from voters when that team loses. It’s as if the voters are saying, “Hey, you made me look dumb.”
Well, AP voters said just that to Ole Miss when they dropped the Rebels from #4 all the way down to #21 in their latest poll. UM also fell from #5 to #18 in the coaches’ poll.
2. Ole Miss should look to Oregon as an example of how to bounce back from adversity.
