I’m not a fan of the BCS.  I think the computers play too big a role in the thing.  Here’s why…

While it’s early in the season and Florida’s strength of schedule will soon rise, the Gators currently rank #4 in the simulated BCS rankings of BCSGuru.com.

Yes.  Fourth. 

Behind Alabama.

They’re ranked 6th, 21st and 25th by three of the computer polls used to determine the official BCS rankings.

So there is reason for concern down in Gainesville.

It doesn’t look like the Gators can afford a single loss this season.
