Vols Land Lineman James

Offensive lineman JaWuan James from North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, Ga., has committed to Tennessee.
James had been a key target for UT since he decommitted from Alabama in September. The turning point for the Vols came last month when UT head coach Lane Kiffin visited James at his high school game.
“That made me feel wanted,” James told the Knoxville News Sentinel. “That’s the first time a head coach had ever been to a game at our school.”
Choosing UT meant James had to turn down the in-state Georgia Bulldogs. He did so by leaving a voicemail message for offensive line coach Stacy Searles.
“I don’t think there will be any hard feelings,” James told the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
James will graduate in December and enroll at UT in January.
