Irvin Leaves Tide For Memphis

It’s looking more and more like unbeaten, top-ranked Alabama might keep their top coaches on staff for 2010. That’s unusual for a team having such success.
But while coordinators Jim McElwain and Kirby Smart appear to be returning, one low-level aide IS departing.
Sedrick Irvin — who served as an intern working with the Tide’s running backs — will become the running backs coach on Larry Porter’s new staff at Memphis.
Irvin was thanked by Mark Ingram in his Heisman acceptance speech on Saturday.
Former Alabama head coach Mike DuBose has already been hired by Memphis to coach the Tigers’ defensive line.
