1. According to Ivan Maisel of ESPN.com, the only bit of interest that Tommy Tuberville or Phillip Fulmer have garnered was Virginia’s desire to speak with the former Auburn coach.
After hearing from a source close to the Louisville program, we at MrSEC are of the opinion that the Cardinals — who Phillip Fulmer spoke with by phone for 30 minutes earlier this week — are already certain that Florida defensive coordinator Charlie Strong is their man.
3. Neither Fulmer nor Tuberville have yet to be firmly associated with the new opening at Kansas. But Mississippi State’s Dan Mullen — oddly enough — has been listed by the AP as a potential replacement. MSU athletic director Greg Byrne had dinner at Mullen’s house last night, so hopefully the coach didn’t have to excuse himself to go answer a phone call or two from Lawrence, Kansas.
4. Backup Auburn quarterback Tyrik Rollison has been suspended due to the dreaded “violation of team rules.”
5. ESPN.com’s Chris Low has posted what he believes to be the key matchups in tomorrow’s SEC Championship Game.
6. Jeff Schultz of The AJC believes Mark Richt should dial up former defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder… but VanGorder has already said he’s staying with the Atlanta Falcons.
7. Stewart Mandel of SI.com says the pressure is on Florida this weekend.

13. Tennessee receivers coach Frank Wilson has been offered the position vacated at LSU by new Memphis head coach Larry Porter.
