Cornerback Sloan No Longer Committed To Kentucky

Cornerback Anterio Sloan from West Helena (Ark.) High School is no longer committed to Kentucky.
Sloan told KentuckyInk.com the Wildcats pulled his scholarship offer.
“Actually, they have backed off,” Sloan told the Web site. “I don’t have a scholarship offer there anymore.”
Sloan said the offer was pulled because of a shoulder injury he suffered during his sophomore year. He said Kentucky examined the injury during a visit to the school in December.
“They don’t think it’s going to improve, that it’s going to be a problem for me the rest of my career and something that may keep me from playing,” Sloan told KentuckyInk.com.
It’s difficult to say if everything Sloan is saying is true. Schools can’t comment publicly on prospects until they sign with a school.
If Kentucky is pulling the offer simply because of Sloan’s injury, shame on the Wildcats. Every year prospects suffer injuries, and almost every time those prospects keep their scholarships if they’re committed to a school.
Still, there could be more to the story, which can’t be told from Kentucky’s side just yet.
