1. Kentucky is one of four SEC teams that will only have one Thursday-Saturday turnaround this year.
2. John Wooden told John Calipari that he’s got a problem: having too many good players.
3. Rick Pitino said UK will not go undefeated.
4. University of Florida officials say that they suspended one of their radio broadcasters as soon as they learned that he was being investigated in a child pornography case. When he was charged yesterday, they fired him.
5. Here’s a bit more on the indefinite suspension of Carolina tight end Weslye Saunders.
6. In a bit of good news, defensive guru Ellis Johnson told Louisiana Tech that he’s happy in Columbia.
7. Gamecock center Sam Muldrow knows that he needs to grab more boards and play better defense.
8. Darrin Horn has no plans to stop pressing.
9. USC fans haven’t sold out next Tuesday’s game with Kentucky yet.
10. Tennessee cornerback Dennis Rogan made the surprise decision to leave school early for the NFL.
11. The #8 Vols went away from their press last night to beat Alabama 65-56 in Tuscaloosa… the team’s 5th straight win following four New Year’s Day arrests and suspensions.
12. In slowing things down, the Volunteers are now winning with defense, rather than fast-paced offense.
13. This writer believes that Tennessee might actually be a Final Four contender.
