1. Can Tim Tebow play quarterback in the NFL? Depends on who you ask.
2. A Senior Bowl official said Tebow didn’t have strep throat… but Tebow says he does. (I bet his teammates really appreciate him playing with them… and potentially passing it on to them.)
3. Alex Tyus poured in 23 points to lead Florida past Georgia 87-71 in Gainesville last night.
4. Tyus has become a steady third-option for the Gators.
5. Trey Thompkins scored 24 for Georgia, but the Bulldogs still fell to 1-4 in the SEC.
6. Fired Kentucky defensive line coach Rick Petri has been hired to the same position at Miami. Talk about landing on your feet.
7. John Calipari says Tuesday’s loss to South Carolina was “a great lesson” for his young team.
8. Carolina’s Darrin Horn says that DeMarcus “Slugger” Cousins is “unguardable.”
9. Calipari is looking for a consistent level of effort from this Wildcats.
