1. Tony Dungy thinks Tim Tebow is “going to be a fantastic player in the NFL.”
2. Chandler Parsons couldn’t rescue Florida in Knoxville yesterday as the the Gators’ four-game SEC win streak was snapped by Tennessee 61-60.
3. Alex Tyus says UF needs “to learn how to play a full game.”
4. The Gators are now just 1-8 against Bruce Pearl and they’re 0-5 against him at Thompson-Boling Arena.
5. According to Rivals.com, former Georgia defensive coordinator Willie Martinez has decided to take a job at Oklahoma rather than Stanford.
6. Former Dawgs Geno Atkins and Jeff Owens looked so good at the Senior Bowl that they might have climbed into the NFL draft’s first round.
7. Add Lebron James to the long list of lures John Calipari has at his disposal.
8. When Kentucky is hitting their threes… look out.
9. South Carolina’s new “academic enrichment center” should help the Gamecocks recruit.
10. When you compare Devan Downey’s scoring average in SEC games to past greats, Downey comes out on top. Easily.
11. Tennessee’s Chris Scott and Dan Williams hope they helped their draft stock at the Senior Bowl.
12. Scotty Hopson was just following orders when he hit the game-winner in UT’s 61-60 victory over Florida yesterday.
13. Teammate JP Prince said of Hopson, “When Scotty realizes how good he is, nobody will be able to stop him.”
14. The Vols went 6-2 in the month of January and knocked off top-ranked Kansas. Not bad for a month that began with four players being arrested.
