1.  This writer projects where the 10 Florida Gators at the NFL combine will be selected in this year’s draft.

2.  New quarterback John Brantley said he’s developed a strong connection with receiver Deonte Thompson.

3.  Brantley also said he won’t be the fist-pumper than Tim Tebow was.

4.  By the way, is Tebow’s autograph really worth 160 bucks?

5.  Tebow’s performance numbers at the NFL combine looked pretty “tight endy” to this writer.

6.  Florida desperately needs to find a way to beat Vanderbilt in Gainesville tonight.

7.  It’s Senior Night for the reptiles… and “it’s going to be tough” emotionally for Dan Werner.

8.  Werner will be trying to make amends for the final play in UF’s 78-76 loss at Georgia this weekend.

9.  Nick Calathes — who would have really helped Florida this season — has no regrets about leaving for a pro league in Greece.

10.  Former Georgia safety Reshad Jones — who left early for the NFL — has been given a third-round grade by the league’s draft advisory committee.

11.  When the Dawgs kick off spring practice on Thursday, it will be the unveiling of Todd Grantham’s new 3-4 defense.

12.  Former Tennessee safety Eric Berry plans to do every drill at the NFL combine today… unusual for a Top 10 projected pick.

13.  Bruce Pearl says Arkansas is “a dangerous team” in “a dangerous place” on UT’s schedule.

14.  Tennessee hopes this year’s Senior Night goes better than last year’s.

15.  Wayne Chism is the last man standing from Pearl’s highly-ranked five-man 2006 signing class.

16.  Chism said he’s worried about the SEC, not March Madness.

17.  This writer believes Pearl is a perfect fit in Knoxville.

18.  Tyler Smith — who Pearl had to dismiss from the UT team due to the gun charges — has signed a two-month contract to play in Turkey.

19.  Vanderbilt’s John Jenkins has been named the SEC’s Freshman of the Week for the third time this season.

20.  The Commodores will be looking for SEC win #12 tonight at Florida.

21.  Jenkins will also be the ‘Dores starting shooting guard until further notice.

22.  Some Vandy fans aren’t happy that their team — with a better record and two head-to-head wins — is ranked six spots behind Tennessee in the coaches’ poll.

23.  Kentucky’s freshmen are still having the occasional growing pain.  (But not many at 27-2.)

24.  The Wildcats’ loss to Tennessee might be a good thing according to UK’s coach.

25.  The push to name John Wall as the national player of the year seems to have slowed.

26.  It’s not official, but this writer says Patrick Patterson WILL take part in UK’s Senior Day activities on Sunday.

27.  According to this notes column, it appears that tall receivers Alshon Jeffery and Tori Gurley will both be on the field at the same time for South Carolina this fall.  That was not the case last year.

28.  Carolina will open spring practice on Thursday… about two weeks earlier than originally planned.

29.  All 14 practices sessions at USC are open to the public.
