Florida Could Sway UCLA Commit

The recruitment of UCLA commit Junior Pomee might not be over.

The tight end from Rancho Verde High School in Moreno Valley, Calif., took part in last week’s Friday Night Lights camp at Florida.

The Gators coaching staff was impressed, so much so that Pomee could receive an offer from Florida.

“I talked to coach (Urban) Meyer before I left and he said he wants to talk to me (Saturday),” Pomee said. “He’s probably about to offer me or something. If he does, then I don’t know. I’ll have to check it out.”

One of Pomee’s high school teammates, defensive end Ronald Powell, is a star freshman at Florida. His presence could be an influence if Pomee receives an offer from Florida.

“(Powell) is my main boy,” Pomee said. “We’ve been playing football since we were in like eighth grade. He’s my mentor. Everything I do, we do it together…Maybe this college thing will work out. We” have to find out.”
