SEC Headlines – 7/30/10

1.  Remember the Mike Price era at Alabama?  Neither does he.  (When that went down, who could have seriously predicted that Bama would be back on top of the college football world just a few short years later?)

2.  This writer doesn’t think Bama’s schedule and the Bye Week Controversy look at all that tough in reality.

3.  There’s a battle at right tackle at Auburn.

9.  LSU will play a basketball game with Wichita State this year in Shreveport-Bossier City.

BREAKING — 10.  Jeremiah Masoli is on campus in Oxford.

11.  Former Ole Miss quarterback Raymond Cotton — who should get a Thank You note from Masoli’s PR team – is transferring to South Alabama.

12.  Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray suffered a “conditioning accident” that left him with “a shiny purple bruise under his left eye.”  No.  Really.

13.  Justin Houston is expected to rise above the rest of the Dawgs’ defense.

15.  Cousins is getting good reviews for his early NBA work.

16.  South Carolina has released its practice schedule.

17.  Derek Dooley is trying to restore order at Tennessee.

18.  Dooley knows his quarterbacks will be both young and new this fall.

20.  This Nashville writer says that Vanderbilt needs an athletics director to hire coaches.
