How can schools get votes to win the league but not their own divisions?  How can schools like Vandy, Kentucky and Ole Miss get votes to win the league title?

Well, the SEC has opened its doors to everyone — and as you can tell from listening to the media’s questions this week — half the media don’t seem to be media anymore.  They seem to be fans.  And fans of teams always rank their schools just a little bit higher than everyone else does.

So if I were you, I wouldn’t pay too much attention to the predictions of the SEC’s — ahem — media.
