Tight End Leonard Ready To Settle In At Florida

A.C. Leonard is looking forward to the day he can call Florida home.

Leonard, a tight end from Jacksonville University Christian School, is on his third high school in four years. Florida will be his fourth school in five years when he arrives next fall.

Leonard committed to Florida in November. He said his recent move to Jacksonville University Christian was to ensure his academics are in order.

“I had to make a move that was best for me, academic-wise, so that I’d be ready to come to UF,” he told the Gainesville Sun. “That was the best fit for me.”

Leonard will be a tight end when he arrives at Florida, but he plans to be an important part of the Gators’ passing game as well.

“I’ve always been a receiver-type, but I was never given that much of a chance,” Leonard said. “I love going out there and catching balls and making plays. I still have work to do, though.”
