ESPN: Green’s Situation Is Indeed Jersey-Related

ESPN.com is reporting that Georgia wideout AJ Green is indeed being held out of action while the NCAA determines whether or not he broke a rule by selling a game-worn jersey.

Who says?  “A person familiar with the investigation,” according to Mark Schlabach.

“A person familiar with the NCAA investigation told ESPN.com that Green did not sell his jersey on eBay and received less than $1,000 for it.  The source said Green has been forthcoming and honest with NCAA investigators, but added there were ‘some twists and turns’ involved with the case.”

That paragraph isn’t the easiest to read.  I assume that Green did NOT sell his jersey on eBay (as some rumors suggest) but he did sell it for less than $1,000 elsewhere.

The result is the same: Georgia must wait for the NCAA to make a ruling on Green.
