After a couple close wins, Florida again fell in the AP and ESPN/USA Today Coaches polls.
The Gators beat Florida Atlantic 79-66 on Tuesday and won at Florida State, 55-51, on Sunday before dropping in both polls. Florida fell from 16th to 18th in the AP Poll and from 14th to 16th in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll.
Florida (5-1, 0-0 SEC) was top-15 in the preseason polls. The AP Poll had the Gators ranked ninth and the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll had Florida 11th.
The Gators’ lone loss came to then-No. 4 Ohio State in the second game in the season.
