In-State Lineman Chooses South Carolina

South Carolina has secured a commitment from offensive lineman Brandon Shell from Goose Creek High School in Charleston, S.C.

Shell, who’s the 21st commitment for South Carolina’s 2011 class, is ranked the nation’s 10th best offensive tackle and 81st overall player by Rivals.com.

South Carolina edged out Alabama, Georgia, Clemson and Miami for Shell, according to Rivals.com.
