UF Dismisses Freshman Dowling

Urban Meyer announced yesterday that freshman safety Jonathan Dowling has been dismissed from the Florida team for violating team rules. When asked if the move was permanent, Meyer said that Dowling was “done” at Florida.

Dowling was a four-star signee last February.

Meyer wouldn’t say what Dowling had done, but we can assume it was something worse than sending a threatening text.
