Marlin Lane Confirms Commitment To Tennessee

Marlin Lane has confirmed his commitment to Tennessee.

The running back from Daytona Beach, Fla., said he gave his pledge to UT’s staff on Saturday night.

Lane said he planned to keep his commitment a secret until National Signing Day on Feb. 2. That plan changed when his trainer leaked the information to Jamie Newberg of ESPN.com, according to Lane.

That explains the differing reports regarding his status earlier today.

Lane is UT’s 24th commitment for the class of 2011.
