NCAA Tourney Projection Features 5 SEC Squads

It’s mid-January and the NCAA Tournament bracket projections are already popping up on websites across this here interweb.

Andy Glockner of SI.com has posted his latest forecast today and in it you’ll find the names of five SEC teams. Not bad considering the league’s low RPI ranking.

Here’s how Glockner would set the field as of right now:

Kentucky — 2nd seed, West Regional vs 15th seed Long Beach State

Vanderbilt — 5th seed, Southeast Regional vs 12th seed Harvard

Florida — 6th seed, Southwest Regional vs 11th seed Virginia Tech or Butler

Tennessee — 7th seed, East Regional vs 10th seed St. Mary’s

Georgia – 9th seed, Southwest Regional vs 8th seed Temple
