He tried to punish Bruce Pearl with as little impact on the program as possible. The real problem comes if the NCAA suspends BP for a year. That would be almost 2 years off the recruiting trail . I doubt he could recover from that in time to keep the Vol fans at bay. This writer is correct a new guy would be a big risk, but a lengthy sentence for pearl could be a bigger one.
