Sorry you don&#039;t like the speculation.  But I&#039;d been hearing for two months that Wilcox and Smith didn&#039;t get along.  Throw in the facts that Wilcox stayed on staff and Smith decided to leave (right after Signing Day) and it&#039;s pretty clear to most folks around Tennessee&#039;s program that a line in the sand had been drawn. 
 
I have no clue about the relationship between Dooley and Smith and did not -- therefore -- comment on that in the story.  I simply noted that the two had played high school football together.

You don&#039;t know that Chuck maybe decided to leave on his own based on philosophical differences between what he wanted to do with the DLine and what Wilcox wants to do.
