Auburn Dismisses RB Smith

Running back Eric Smith has been dismissed from the Auburn football team for an unspecified violation of team rules. Smith was used as a blocking back last season.

Though his role on the football team was limited, you might remember Smith for his involvement in the 2009 beatdown of two AU students that left one man bloodied and another unconscious.

Smith carried the ball 42 times during his three-year career and caught 25 passes.
