Former Alabama receiver Julio Jones tore up the NFL combine in Indianapolis. He ran the 40 in 4.39 seconds. He nailed a broad jump of 11 feet, 3 inches.
And it seems he did it all with a fractured foot.
According to NFL.com, Jones’ injury will require surgery and he will need to have a screw inserted into his foot. Rehab should take about eight weeks.
Former NFL exec Charley Casserly said, “This guy really helped himself with that workout on Sunday. Showed a little toughness, too. Teams probably aren’t going to shy away from him (because of the injury).”
