With the University of Alabama targeting this spring’s A-Day game as the unveiling date for its new Nick Saban statue, photos of the statue (at left) in its pre-bronze stage have hit the web.
And they’re sorta/kinda spooky. Would you want to run into that guy in a dark alley?

We at MrSEC.com know that it’s easy to poke fun at a statue. We also know that we don’t have the artistic ability to draw a good stick-man likeness of Bama’s coach. That said, we still think there’s a certain Dr. Zaius quality to the new Saban statue.
