Uh, yeah. I'm not really sure how the media is trying to "ruin these kids." The top signed in the country was frisked — by police, not bouncers — last night outside a bar. He is not even on campus officially yet. Angry, drunk students then supposedly threw objects at the cops.

Not sure how you view that as anything other than newsworthy.

There are bars around here where I live where EVERYONE gets frisked as they enter by uniformed security guards. Big deal. Furthermore, he was only frisked because he fit a description of a report of a person having a gun. Who's to say that the report wasn't fradulent? I love how the media loves to ruin these kids before they ever get started.
