At issue are allegations made Thursday morning by Auburn Rivals reporter Jeffrey Lee on Mobile radio station WSNP. Among Lee’s allegations were that an Alabama supporter – subsequently identified as Woodruff — paid Winston $2,500 for Calloway to commit to Alabama, as well as supplying Calloway a new car. Lee also alleged Woodruff pulled Calloway out of school in the days leading up to signing day, taking him on a trip to Florida.

Woodruff told TideSports.com that he’s “confident the truth will come out.” Ricky Danley, the new cars sales manager at the dealership where Woodruff allegedly acquired the vehicle given to Calloway, told the website that Woodruff had merely taken the car in question — a Camaro — out on an extended test drive before returning it due to handling issues at high speeds.

Well being a former player, most people don't understand that all your school is paid for when you are on scholarship and you then receive pell grants to live. Most people have to have pell grants to pay for school, but as players we had pell grants and work study programs that gave us spending money to live on. Now as for this pay for play scheme that Mr. aubie thinks he has on Calloway and family, he better think twice since he clearly stated he had no proof and could not prove any of it since Bama did such a good job of covering it up by paying all cash. Well, if you have no proof then should not be telling the story, cause law suits will be forthcoming in near future.

State of Alabama football fans will help take both Alabama and Auburn football programs down and I for one will enjoy watching it! After watching, listening to or reading about what all goes on in the state of Alabama around these programs why would any intelligent caring parent anywhere in the country other than the state of Alabama send their child to either one of these schools. Lets see a couple of years ago a fan from one of the schools shot an opposing fan after one of their games and this year a "bright" jealous Alabama fan poisions live oak trees at Auburn! Whats next Picking off the opposing teams players as they walk down the street?! I don't think sending my child to play in a place where Auburn fans think is God's country or to a place where Alabama fans think he would actually be playing for "God" himself (some actually think that of Saban), is worth exposing him becoming anything remotely like them.

Let me say this. I would bet my life and my kids life that both of these Institutions of Higher Learning (or their fans) provide extra benefits to their players, either directly or in-directly. I know it, you know it, everybody knows it. It is the system in which they operate. However just like everything else today news travels much faster and farther. But you can take this to the bank. What is bad for Auburn is not always good for Alabama. And what is bad for Alabama is not always good for Auburn. If we keep bashing each other and turning each other in we will find a branch office of the NCAA in the state for the next 10 years.

To blame Bama for allegations against AU is ridiculous. The Cam Newton investigation started based on information turned over by Miss. State (a university that was directly involved). That investigation is still pending and has nothing to do with UA. Skipping ahead to the HBO special, that was a situation brought to life by members of the AU family. Did BC tell this guy the information he knows? Understand that all of the mess AU is in right now is because of AU. Stop trying to push your self-induced black eyes on us. Until I read an article about this that didn’t get published between a pigpen and a chicken coup, I’m just going to laugh it off as AU being AU.

Here's a theory: Maybe the staffer who went from MSU to Bama leaked the Cam stuff to Cecil Hurt, who then got together with Paul Finebaum and they kicked it upstairs to the NY Times, and now will rue the day they started this whole mess. Just a theory.

I will no longer read anything from Rivals as long as their employees are held to a sub standard of accountability. I will not renew my subscription!! As long as Jeff Lee is employed at Rivals I encourage all people who value integrity in sports journalism to ban their services. You can't go around publicly blasting people when your only evidence is a handful of sour grapes. Rivals is taking a big risk here. I've already seen many comments on other boards expressing concern for the value and integrety of articles from Rivals, past, current and future. The big news here is not this fabrication but the decline of reputable journalism in college sports today.

This is hilarious, why would Bama pay him? He is a 4 star recruit and they already had the top player at the position. Calloway was not a must have recruit in this class, especially at running back. Sounds like the shoe is on the other foot and that foot doesn't like it. In light of Bama being the most heavily penalized school in the NCAA over the last 25 years, this could be the death penalty for them.

It's time somebody stepped up and nailed the bammers for their flagrant violations in recruiting. It was then discovered it was all a hoax, the tapes were fabricated. This is just return fire from the Auburn side. Bama started it, so they need to stop crying foul.

Living outside the state of alabama we know that the allegations against auburn come from bama through their red elephant club machine. Both auburn and bama need to chill and stop the mud slinging (although up to this point bama has been doing all the slinging). I believe the SEC is about to implode.

To show you the validity of this accusation. Attorney's are already involved for at least one of the people Lee "spouted off" about. This isn't going to end pretty for Mr. Lee. Also, how many UT website writers go investigate the Aggies or Sooners as part of their jobs? NOBODY is as dirty as the internet "writers" for the AU sites. Just watch.

If this story shocks anyone supporting the Tide, your crimson goggles are in need of a major cleaning. I can't say I'm sympathetic to Auburn situation but in light of all the allegations with no proof, one does have to question if Bama fans and supporters started most of this and this is merely return fire from the Auburn camp. It seems that if one story on Auburn fails to gain traction, a new one pops up. However, not one of them has proof or will tell the whole truth which is starting to raise doubts. Will be interesting to see if anything comes of this since this kid was also recruited heavily by Auburn. Regardless, the SEC is getting very close to being the next Southwest Conference. Would be a shame because it is the best football in the country hands down. Maybe both sides need to get over themselves and be happy for the success in what is otherwise a 90% wasteland state...
