Georgia Lands Linebacker For 2012 Class

Georgia has received a commitment from linebacker Leonard Floyd from Dodge County High School in Eastman, Ga.

Floyd is the sixth commitment for Georgia’s class of 2012.

“He’s ecstatic about it,” Dodge County assistant Ricky Collins said. “He has been smiling at school all day. Everybody has been congratulating him on choosing Georgia. It really has been a great day for Leonard.”

Floyd, who has played tight end and wide receiver for Dodge County, could also play defensive end – his high school position – for Georgia.
