Urban Meyer’s daughter Nicki has heard enough of the rumors linking her dad to Ohio State. And she’s tired of people quizzing her about the possibility.
On Twitter yesterday, Nicki Meyer posted the following comment:
Stop txting me abt my dad. HE IS NOT repeat NOT, GOING TO OHIO STATE. thanks.
Sounds like someone who enjoys having her father off the sidelines. It also sounds like someone who doesn’t want her father worrying about reporters and rumors.
Good for her. While the Meyer to OSU story makes sense — Jim Tressel’s in trouble, Meyer’s from Ohio, etc, etc — we’re about 200 steps from anything resembling the ex-Florida coach stalking the Ohio State sideline.
And perhaps, like Jon Gruden, Meyer might enjoy media work more than anyone seems to expect.
UPDATE — As it turns out, Gigi Meyer — Nicki’s sister — also got into the act when it came to snuffing out rumors and defending Papa Meyer.
