Shooting guard Jordan Price from Southwest DeKalb High School in Decatur, Ga., committed to Auburn during the weekend.
Price chose Auburn over scholarship offers from Georgia Tech, Memphis and Ole Miss. He committed to Auburn after taking an unofficial visit during the weekend.
“The Auburn coaches were happy, they weren’t expecting it,” Price told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “I called 4-5 hours after I left and it caught them by surprise.”
Price is Auburn’s second commitment for the class of 2012, following Shaquille Johnson from Milton High School. Johnson helped push Price to Auburn.
“Shaq was recruiting me for Auburn,” Price said. “It is going to be real fun playing with him in that system at Auburn.”
