Auburn Staff “Highest Paid At Any Public University”

Earlier today we passed along the news that Auburn’s football staff will earn a whopping $4,085,000 in salaries this year. Winning a BCS championship has its perks, obviously.

But USA Today reports that the Tiger staff “figures to be the highest paid at any public university in the nation.” Take that, Bama.

According to the paper’s website, Auburn coaches will make about $470,000 more than the staff at Texas who rank #2 in salaries. More details on AU’s contracts can be found here.

Each coach received at least a 10% bump over their previous year’s salary and as a whole the group’s combined salary jumped by nearly 40%.
