The University of Florida had already decided to raise prices on tickets to the Gators’ home football games, but yesterday the school voted to hike the cost of tickets for the UF-Georgia game in Jacksonville, too. UGA has already approved the hikes which will occur three times over then next five years.
Currently, tickets to the annual clash go for $40 for regular seats and $70 for club seats. By 2017 prices for the game will jump to $75 for regular seats and $120 for club seats.
“The game right now, for a game of that stature compared to other rivalry games, is underpriced,” Florida AD Jeremy Foley said.
As long as people are willing to pay that much…
