Oh for crying out loud! Are you serious? You gotta go back to the 80's to the Switzer era? Check your calendar pal….Stoops runs one of the cleanest programs in the country. He has repeatedly called for crackdowns not only on players but on COACHES who are caught cheating. He has repeatedly demonstrated he won't tolerate that stuff – just ask Rhett Bomer or Josh Jarboe. Your argument is pathetic and your credibility, after a comment like that, nonexistent!

if u hate oklahoma from the start does it really matter check this since 2000 til now how many teams from sec acc pac10 pac 12 had to go head up with okla. to win championships and how many of those teams played. in the championship game more than twice now true enough they only won in 2000. no teams from sec r acc r pac12 r paqc10 played in the championship game. so respect the players ou hate the game. so check yourself domb donkeys. half of these so call power house conf. wont putt oklahoma are big 12 teams on there list of teams to be played every year. whats up with that , sec acc pac12 pac10 dont be scare of those oklahoma sooners. chomps/ we will sooner go anywhere anytime

Remember that when the dominos start to fall, the better conferences don't want to be left picking up the scraps. Teams will go where they can as quickly as possible. The big 12 cannot stay together with the unfair revenue and LHN doing what it is now. As the PAC, BIG and SEC see tailspinning out of control, they will get who they want before the downfall.

Oh c'mon! Oklahoma's known to be one of the biggest cheaters in the game. When it comes to cheating, Oklahoma would blend right in with the best in the SEC. Have you forgotten Switzer? Or that 40% of the teams in today's Big-XII came from a conference that was destroyed by NCAA infractions? If you're an Oklahoma fan, then you're a hypocrite for suggesting that Oklahoma, or the Big-XII, has a viable claim to having more integrity than the SEC and it's teams.

I think what the article is saying that the SEC already has enough issues, in regard to the NCAA looking at a number of programs, as to where the SEC really doesn't need to add more fuel ot the fire. OU has a great program and any conference would/should be proud to have OU as a member. At this point in time…maybe the SEC should get their current problems taken care of before adding potentially more. I hate that OU may be having issues that could preclude them being invited to join the SEC, but I hate it more that the SEC is having issues to begin with.

It's a total joke that someone from the SEC would point out cheating in another league. If Oklahoma joined the SEC they would need to let there compliance department go, there would no longer be any need for them.

This is about business. SOUTHEASTERN is a name adopted in the early 20th century. Arkansas isn't a whole lot more Southeastern than Oklahoma if you check a map. And Mike Slive spoke to Oklahoma last year.

In this day and age, the only way a map comes into play in expansion and realignment is to discuss "expanding the footprint" of a conference. In other words, to make more money you don't just expand internally, you do so externally.

That's why the Big Ten and Pac-12 wooed Texas, why the SEC wooed Texas A&M, and why Marquette, DePaul, Notre Dame and TCU are all members of a league called the Big East.

Uh, no, I think I state pretty clearly that any possible loss of SEC interest in OU WOULD BE DIRECTLY TIED to the SEC's recent problems. See paragraphs 2 and 10.

That is the dumbest article I have read in a long time. Any conference would jump at adding Oklahoma. Your acting like none of the teams in the SEC have been in trouble in the last 10 years, but almost half of them have.

Having lived in Oklahoma for over 10 years, the SEC cannot take OU without OSU and who wants OSU. Missouri would be a better fit and it would bring the Kansas City and St. Louis television markets as well.
