2013 Prospect Commits To Georgia

Georgia has received a commitment from 2013 athlete Trey Matthews from Newnan (Ga.) High School.

Matthews follows former Newnan standout Alec “Tree” Ogletree, who signed with Georgia in 2010. Newnan coach Mike McDonald said there are similarities between Matthews and Ogletree.

“They are very similar with their physical style of play,” McDonald said. “Tray may have a bit better ball skills than Tree at this point of his career, while Tree may have been more explosive with his tackling.”

Georgia has four commitments for the class of 2012.
