“Opportunity Is Nowhere” At Tennessee

There’s a pretty funny photo that’s making the rounds on this here interweb today. The folks at KentuckySportsRadio.com posted it this afternoon and you can find a full-size photo there.

But as you can see at left — click our headline for a bigger view — one of the doors leading from Tennessee’s locker room has apparently been wallpapered with a pretty strange message:

“OPPORTUNITY IS NOWHERE”

Well that’ll sure fire up the troops. Take a close look at the photo and you’ll see that the message was probably supposed to read:

“OPPORTUNITY IS NOW (space) HERE”

But attempting to make the message fit, it looks like the NOW and the HERE got pushed a tad too close together.

Then again, maybe that picture has just been Photoshopped. Former Bruce Pearl assistant Steve Forbes can tell you how that’s done.

The W and the H are further apart than the other letters...they are just close enough to make it seem like it says "nowhere." The saying is an old adage. It's all about perceptions. C'mon the coach is a grad from a top 25 public law school. Editing and revising is a must. He wouldn't have missed that

If you open the doors then Opportu is Now....don't think it was intentional. They should have just used a smaller font.

It was intentional. Opportunity is nowhere until you open the door. Then it is both now and here.

If that was the idea it's a complete fail. No one would see both doors. Not to mention that "opportunity" would be split as well. If it wasn't intentional this is just and excuse from Vol fans and it doesn't hold water.

This is an old optical illusion that's been around for years. Could it be that this a Dooley ploy to get the team to think that things are different from what they seem?
