Judging from the allegations made against both programs, I think Tennessee's basketball team looks to be hit harder than the football program. That said, we don't know if the NCAA's new get-tough mission will result in more accountability for coaches or schools. If they're letting coaches have it, it wouldn't be a surprise to see former UT assistant David Reaves get pounded, Lane Kiffin get some form of punishment, and the UT football program get off lightly.

Basketball on the other hand seems more likely to receive deep scholarship cuts and a possible postseason ban (though I don't think they'll get one).

But it's futile to try to predict what the NCAA will do on a case by case basis. About the only guarantee in NCAA dealings is this: If you lie to investigators you'll get a show cause ban. And that's exactly what's happening to Bruce Pearl and his former aides.

Other than that, I wouldn't wager 10 cents on what punishments the NCAA might hand out to Tennessee tomorrow.
