The top ad on our site is actually a Google ad. They record your interests and then place an ad up there that you're more likely to click on. If you click on it… we make a bit more cash. But the ad you get is different than the ad someone else might get.

So technically, we're not running their ad. You've just been reading so many stories that mention the Longhorn Network that Google figures you'd be interested!

So Texas and Texas Tech would have to share a network. But lets get real. In exchange for taking Texas Tech with them(when a school like kansas would probably be more attractive) the Longhorns Network will probably be mainly Texas. I'm sure they will have a few Red Raider shows and will probably show some old Red Raider games……………against the Longhorns. lol

We know we will find it rough sledding for a while, but honestly, I believe we will have more fun and raise the visibility of our university. The few SEC games I have attended have seemed like backyard brawls, but folks were having fun and rarely were mean spirited. Fight like siblings inside the conference and defend like brothers outside the conference.

Maybe that is naive on my part, but when I see folks sticking up or Vandy on this site and others, it tells me something will be different. Frankly, that kind of conference solidarity has not been around these parts for a long time.

Not even with the Longhorns. Texas Tech would be going with Texas anyway. A&M is going to the best conference in the country. Baylor is the only one left out. THey will probably go MWC who could pick up the BIg12's AQ for the BCS depending on who else they could add. Maybe Houston, Kansas St? who knows. I get a kick out of chip brown though.

Also, The Fort Worth Star-Telegram is reporting that Texas' Lt. Governor would like to get involved in this mess… according to his very own spokesperson.

He said never believe anything on orangebloods. He said it is nothing but a mouthpiece for Dodds, and it's used to throw up smoke screens for their real intentions. He has always defended UT's actions, but last night blamed them for the whole Big12 breakup. going back to Colorado and Nebraska.

The law suit threat sounds like another Dodds attempt to save face (and possibly job). The Notre Dame/Arkansas/BYU to the Big 12 article last week left him with a train load of egg on his face.

Orangebloods is still good to find out what's not going to happen, and also maybe a laugh at the unfounded UT arrogance.

Its all about Boren and OU. Boren wanted to go to the Pac-12, but A&M got cold feet. UT has no leverage without A&M and the ability to keep the conference together. If OU and OSU leave, the conference is done. UT has three moves now that Boren has forced the hand.

1. Go independent
2. Go to the B10G
3. Go to the Pac-12

Only the Pac-12 holds any value at this point for them because this conference is toast.

Although committee meetings can be called to rattle swords, they have no impact nor clout. The only way Tx politics can get involved AND make a difference is if a special session of the entire legislature is called. The only person that can do that is the governor, which by the way, is an Aggie. Not gonna happen. By the way the senate committee is on record for not wanting to get involved.
