While the rest of the world looks toward Athens and see’s only storm clouds on the horizon, Georgia coach Mark Richt said yesterday that that’s just not the case.
He correctly points out that the Dawgs have played just two games — both against Top 10 teams — and that there’s a whole lot of season left to be played:
“Are you kidding me? There’s seven more games us for and South Carolina (in SEC play). And some of the teams haven’t even started their conference play, so there’s a lot of football left. … There’s not a cloud hanging over us.”
That’s certainly the message Richt needs to be sending to his team. But with a 14-14 record since the start of the 2009 campaign, the forecast doesn’t look particularly good right now.
