Has it really been that long? It's only been about a couple weeks since they decided to study a possible move. They also had a problem reportedly with Boosters from KC hinting they would quit giving their money to MU if they left the Big 12 and probably had to ask the question of what happens with our recruiting class. They have a top 20 ranked recruiting class coming in for 2012 but most of them are from Texas and they have to wonder if they will stick with MU. With a huge graduating class after this year they are already going to be short handed for next year in the SEC will that be compounded by 3 and 4 star recruits saying sorry but we're not staying if you leave the Big 12. .There was also the threat of Alabama not accepting them due to possible rivalry issues so it probably took some time to get all of that ironed out.

I'm from Kansas City and in my opinion MU can't get to the SEC fast enough for me.

gibwud...

Anything is possible when it comes to realignment/expansion. Could Missouri's board have a last minute change of heart? Sure. But if they turn back now they will tick off a lot of Missouri fans -- especially those in the southern part of that state -- who've come to like the idea of a Mizzou-SEC marriage.

But I rule out nothing.

Thanks for reading the site,

John, On #2; It seems that the difference of direction between Deaton and the Board on something as big as realignment landing spots could signal the beginning of the end of a certain chancellorship? On #3; do you put much stock in that report? Thanks for the expansion coverage.

Everyone expects to hear something today. Missouri needs to make its intentions clear today. Enough time has gone by. Enough leaks and slipping out of back doors.
